FLAMMA: A Sculpturesque Washbasin Inspired by Fire

An Artistic Interpretation for Your Bathroom

Flamma stands out with its wide and simple bowl, offering ease of use and maximum functionality. The smooth surface not only enhances its aesthetic appeal but also provides advantages from a hygiene perspective. Made of solid surface material, the washbasin boasts a flawless and smooth form, resembling the irradiating extension of fire.

The design of Flamma was realized using solid surface technology, which allowed for the creation of sharp lines that strengthen the flame effect. The production process involved the combination of separate semi-molds, enabling a faster and more precise retouching process. The result is a magnificent sculpture-like washbasin that adds a unique touch to any bathroom.

With dimensions of 600mm x 600mm x 850mm, Flamma is available in two color options: white and bronze & white. The washbasin comes with a drainer and requires the water outlet to be from the ground. It can be combined with a built-in or freestanding washbasin mixer, providing flexibility in design choices. The packaging of Flamma features the Isvea brand identity, ensuring a premium presentation.

The Flamma washbasin project started in April 2014 and was completed in October 2014. It was first exhibited at the Unicera Istanbul exhibition in February 2015 and later showcased at the ISH exhibition in March 2015.

Flamma was designed based on insights gathered from architects who expressed a desire for eye-catching and distinctive designs that set them apart. The collaboration between YATASARIM Ömer Faruk Yakupoglu and Isvea, a brand known for its cooperation with renowned designers, resulted in the realization of these insights.

The development of Flamma faced challenges during the molding process. The design required a large mold, which seemed difficult to develop. However, the innovative idea of creating semi-molds and then combining them proved successful. Each semi-mold was developed individually, and the final product was achieved through a sensitive retouching process, resulting in a magnificent sculpture-like pose.

Flamma's unique design and exceptional craftsmanship have been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Bathroom Furniture and Sanitary Ware Design category in 2015. This prestigious award honors designs that exhibit outstanding creativity, technical skills, and contributions to improving quality of life.
